Teleprompter App Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Teleprompter – Script & Camera (the « App »), published by Antoine Jules Serge Beauchamp, handles information and data when you use it.

We take privacy seriously. The App is designed to work without requiring an account, and we do not collect or store personal data on our own servers.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require creating a user account.

We do not directly collect or store:

– your name

– your email address

– your phone number

– your postal address

– your password

– your banking information

– your videos

– your audio recordings

– your images

– your text or scripts for personal identification purposes

– your voice recognition data

We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or user tracking purposes.

2. Camera

The App may request permission to access your device’s camera.

The camera is used to enable the teleprompter features that require displaying the camera image, in particular so the user can see the background filmed by the camera while using the teleprompter.

Access to the camera is controlled by iOS system permissions.

Images from the camera are used for the App’s features and are not transmitted to our own servers or collected by the publisher.

When the user records a video, it may be saved to the device’s photo library in accordance with the « Photo Library » section below.

3. Microphone

The App may request permission to access the microphone.

The microphone is used to:

– record the audio associated with videos made with the App

– enable voice tracking and synchronization of the teleprompter text scrolling

We do not store audio recordings on our own servers, and we do not use them for advertising or profiling purposes.

When the microphone is used for speech recognition, processing is also subject to the operation of Apple’s Speech service, described in the « Speech Recognition » section.

4. Speech Recognition

The App uses Apple’s Speech framework (SFSpeechRecognizer) to recognize the user’s speech and synchronize the teleprompter text scrolling with their voice.

When this feature is enabled, the App uses the microphone to capture the user’s voice and provides the necessary audio data to Apple’s speech recognition service.

Depending on how Apple’s Speech service operates and the device’s capabilities, audio data may be processed remotely by Apple or, when on-device speech recognition is available and used, processed directly on the device.

The App does not transmit this data to its own servers, does not collect it, and does not store it itself.

The results of speech recognition are used by the App to determine the user’s position in their script and to synchronize text scrolling with their speech.

Speech recognition is not used by the App to:

– create a voice profile of the user

– perform advertising tracking

– personalize advertisements

– sell data to third parties

– personally identify the user

The use of speech recognition is subject to the permissions and privacy terms applicable to Apple’s services.

5. Photo Library

The App may request permission to access the user’s photo library.

This permission is used in particular to allow the App to save videos made with the App to the device’s photo library.

Videos saved are intended to remain in the user’s personal photo library.

The App does not upload these videos to its own servers, and the publisher does not have access to them.

The user can manage or revoke photo library access permission from their device settings.

6. Scripts and Teleprompter Content

The App allows the user to use text or scripts to display in the teleprompter.

This content is used to provide the App’s features and is not transmitted to our own servers for collection or analysis purposes.

We do not maintain a database containing users’ personal scripts.

7. Data Processing

The App is designed to process the data necessary for its operation directly on the user’s device whenever technically possible.

We do not have a server intended to receive or store users’ videos, audio files, images, or personal scripts.

However, some App features rely on services integrated into the Apple system, notably speech recognition. In this case, the data necessary for these services to function may be processed by Apple in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.

8. In-App Purchases and Payments

Any in-app purchases, subscriptions, and payments made in the App are processed by Apple, via the App Store and Apple’s payment systems.

The App and its publisher do not collect or store information relating to your bank card or payment method.

We do not have access to the complete payment information used to make an in-app purchase.

Information relating to your Apple account, purchases, subscriptions, and payments is processed by Apple in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.

9. Apple and Third-Party Services

The App uses certain features and frameworks provided by Apple, notably the services necessary for:

– distribution of the App via the App Store

– management of in-app purchases and payments

– camera access

– microphone access

– photo library access

– speech recognition via SFSpeechRecognizer

Any data processing carried out by these services is subject to the applicable policies and terms of their respective providers.

As of the last update date of this policy, the App does not implement any third-party service intended to collect personal data for advertising, profiling, or user tracking purposes.

10. Advertising and Tracking

The App does not sell user data.

We do not use camera, microphone, speech recognition, or photo library data, or users’ scripts, for advertising purposes.

The App does not use this data to track users across other apps or websites.

11. Data Retention

We do not retain users’ personal data on our own servers.

Videos created by the user may be saved to their device’s photo library.

Temporary data necessary for the App to function may be processed while the App is in use, but we do not collect it or retain it on our own servers.

Any data processed by Apple’s services remains subject to the privacy policies and retention rules applicable to those services.

12. Permission Management

Permissions requested by the App are controlled by iOS.

Depending on the features used, the App may request access to:

– the camera, to display the camera image while using the teleprompter

– the microphone, for video recording and voice tracking

– the photo library, to save videos made with the App

– speech recognition, to synchronize text scrolling with speech

The user can accept, refuse, or modify these permissions from their device settings.

Refusing a permission may prevent certain App features from working.

13. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

14. Security

Because we do not store users’ personal data on our own servers, we limit the risks associated with storing such data.

Data processed directly on the device is protected by iOS system security mechanisms.

15. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App, its features, or applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

In the event of a change, the « last updated » date at the top of this policy will be revised.

We recommend that you check this page regularly to stay informed of any changes.
